Make crop fences wildlife-safe

Illegal live-wire fences kill elephants and endanger people. We are asking for faster disconnection of unauthorised connections and support for farmers to install approved fences.

Our published cases show repeated elephant deaths from fences wired directly to household power lines. This campaign does not blame individual farmers. It asks the responsible authorities to act on unauthorised connections and to expand support for safe, approved alternatives.

Requested action

Sign the petition to the Ceylon Electricity Board asking for a rapid-disconnection programme and a public report on progress.
