In an emergency
Wildlife Watch cannot send help. If a person or animal is in immediate danger:
- Call Police emergency: 119
- Contact your nearest Department of Wildlife Conservation office (verified numbers to be listed before launch).
- Keep a safe distance. Never approach injured elephants, leopards, bears, crocodiles or snakes.
Anonymous reporting: honest limits
- We do not store your IP address with your report, and we use no third-party trackers on reporting pages.
- Your recovery code is stored only as a scrambled hash. We cannot read it or send it to you again.
- Your internet provider, device or email provider may still keep their own records that we cannot control.
- Photos can contain GPS location and the time they were taken. Details you write can also identify you.
- We may be legally required to preserve information. We will never promise anonymity we cannot guarantee.
Location protection
Exact coordinates are encrypted and visible only to authorised reviewers, with every access logged. Public pages, maps, feeds and search show the district at most — and less for sensitive species.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent. Some records may need to be kept where the law requires — we will explain if so. Make a request
